Mike Mack is a dynamic singer, multi-instrumentalist, and entertainer based in New York’s beautiful Hudson Valley. Musical Journey
Music has been a lifelong passion for Mike. Growing up in a musical family, he began singing in school plays and assemblies, experimenting with any instrument he could get his hands on. By his teenage years, he was writing songs and forming bands of his own.
At just 16, Mike was already performing professionally with an all-original band. By 20, he founded People of the Sun, a Rage Against the Machine tribute band that became a major draw across the Northeast. The group even landed Mike opportunities to perform on WWE theme music and CD recordings—a highlight of his early career. People of the Sun continues to perform select reunion shows and remains available for special bookings.
When that chapter came to a close, Mike co-founded Nuts in a Blender, one of the Hudson Valley’s most successful and recognizable party bands. For over a decade, NIAB sold out venues, earned sponsorships from Budweiser and Jägermeister, and became a local entertainment powerhouse—thanks in large part to Mike’s leadership, energy, and business acumen.
Building on that success, Mike launched The Hype, a premier event band known for its versatility and powerhouse performances. The Hype quickly became one of the most in-demand live acts in the region. Their extensive song catalog spans five decades and countless genres—from classic rock and disco to modern pop, country, and hip-hop—making them a perfect fit for clubs, festivals, weddings, corporate events, and more.
Mike’s newest project, Ready or Yacht, celebrates the smooth, feel-good sounds of classic yacht rock—music from artists like Hall & Oates, Steely Dan, Michael McDonald, Toto, and the Doobie Brothers. This band is all about nostalgia, groove, and musicianship, delivering the silky harmonies and lush arrangements that defined a golden era of radio hits.
